The new offense

Forgive me if this has been discussed.
I think it exists.
1) I think Les just can't figure out how to let it be unveiled. He is so conservative he wants to see it unveiled in a lower class game. Let's not do anything stupid against a a reasonably good team on the road
2) I think what little aspects of it he wanted to show. He lost confidence in it with the dropped passes and the fumble ( when he said at half he thought we were throwing it well , he meant it. He was upset we weren't catching it well )
3) I think he displays it Saturday night and if it goes well the following Saturday. And if it continues to go well. He will let it go on the road to AUburn
4) if this is the case I hope he explained that to his team.
5) my concern is just where for not at this point Harris has the confidence ( not the ability , leadership , maturity : I think he has all that ) to make it happen. He looked pretty shook up. I personally think he does as he appears to have the character necessary
For the record I think Les is a fool to operate This way. But that is who I think he is

The second series, they went pass pass pass punt. It was sort of a new offense, but when they can't complete a pass, they went back to the same old thing.

As dumb as this theory is, it's sadly still giving Les Miles entirely too much credit.

And don't be silly, vs the weaker opponents all he does is run I formation.
Posted on 9/5/16 at 12:08 am to Pmtiger
No, there is no secret playbook. Les is clearly retarded. End of story.

Holy shite, just when I thought I'd seen it all...
Pure pumper denial.

Then he's doing it wrong.
You come out and establish confidence immediately.
It's someone said.. we'll know right away if things will be different or not.
Tired of Les having LSU play scared! Early on is the time to come out and establish yourself.
It's ridiculous that the VERY FIRST PLAY OF THE GAME was EXACTLY.. EXACTLY.. the same play of the first game last season vs Mississippi St.
That right there.. is all you need to know

I agree he would be doing it wrong. I just think he is overthinking it. It's who he is.

They ran 2 hitch passes to Dural. Both went for 12-15 yards.
They only ran 2.
It doesn't matter what you think of Miles at this point... He can no longer establish an effective game plan against quality teams because he coaches scared. Balanced I-formation with slot motion to the wing iso play was about 75% of the play calls Saturday in the second half. Despite the success throwing quick hitches to Dural. If they just run that one play more, LSU may win.

I've thought this every year since the Va Tech game in 2007. Les is saving the playbook for a big game. 9 straight seasons I have been wrong

Let me try and put this as simply as I can.... Les is a cook. Meaning he can take great ingredients and make them taste good. Saban, Herman, Meyers and the likes are chefs. They can take good ingredients and make it the best thing you've ever tasted.
We are stuck with a cook. A Waffle House cook at that. Taste great for the 90% of drunk tiger fans that are still awake to taste it.

Anyone who thinks at this point Les really gives a shite about anything other than his families financial future are kidding themselves at best. He is laughing all the way to the bank.

I personally do not have confidence in Brandon Harris. It was apparent he had nerves at the beginning of the game but toward the end to crumble like that and make a true freshman mistake. You just can't let that happen if your a junior with more than a year expierence. Now I think a lot of it is Les Miles lack of trust in his QB which makes a huge difference. Maybe a new coach can come in and motivate him and give him the confidence that he needs next year but until then expect him to still struggle

Is it the one that features the toss dive? Awesome, been waiting for Les to unveil this forever!

This Saturday will be nothing but toss dive to the right, left, and up the middle. Nothing new will be displayed for the rest of the season.

It amazes how many 3rd and shorts you folks did not convert-----I am not a guru in football----but it seemed liked to me that your OF line coach was not prepared.
As a Wiskey Fan----I was surprises by that.

He's gonna toss-dive his way to an 8-4 record and pray for clemency.

Neither is our highest paid offensive staff in the nation.
