You made enough from the state and program. Don't be like a captain going down with the ship. Let a new leader change the course to save the vessel. Open your damn eyes, we need a new direction. You know your dumb arse made more money than you ever would have imagined. Retire and enjoy millions because LSU fans are not enjoying the product they once loved.

If Les loves LSU as much as he says he does he would resign! Because his love was not enough to fulfill his promises of a revamped offense that employees the forward pass, and some kind of pulse on special teams!!

Quitting would be a bad business move on his part.

Bad clock manager:

Bad player developer:

horrid offensive mind:

Bad business man: NOT QUITE

Nah, he won't leave that money on the table, and neither would any of us.

And yet it might be the only way we can justify coughing up another lotto ticket for the next coach.

Why would a man resign after he has already conned LSU in to contract extensions on false pretenses.

Les miles has one job "win 8 games a year". If he can't do that then something needs to be done.

Les Miles is a millionaire several times over. He lives in one of the most prestigious gated communities in this town. His children and quite likely, his grandchildren, will never want for anything. Saying his resignation would be a "disastrous financial decision" is just a tad hyperbolic.

Les won't resign because he's arrogant and hard-headed. It's HIS program, by dammit, and he'll be damned if ANYONE is going to tell him how to run it. The fact that he'll get paid if they can him is little more than lagniappe to him.

I would. The funny thing is, people here think Im an a-hole and think Less Smiles is a "swell guy".

Really, though. How much money does one need? If I had made 40+ million dollars coaching grown men to play a kids game for half the year with no oversight what would an extra 4-6 million mean to save my reputation and my dignity in my supposed "home state"?

Maybe not, I could see a "negotiated" resignation that benefits him and the school.

This, I wonder if Spurrier lost money by quitting.
