Right. And it lasted about 3 months. Not quite the same as the constant kvetching and bowel clenching about Saban that's still going on here.

The funny thing to me about all of the LSU hate for Alabama is that Alabama had nothing to do with him going to Miami. It is not our fault that he left it is Skips fault for allowing him to leave. We just needed a coach and he decided to make himself available. A lot, not most, LSU fans act as though BAMA did something to them and we did nothing but hire an available coach, it had nothing to do with LSU. If we screwed anybody it was Miami. Just my opinion.

Why can't a guy make a career choice that he thinks is right for him and his family? Saban thought he could make it to the next rung. Fell on his arse. I've done the same thing myself, but it was worth the try.

I'd hate to have a job where it was up to someone else to allow me to leave.

I think he's about to make one of those career choices. God, even if he doesn't it's just so unbelievably funny to watch how you Gumps are about to start contorting yourselves every time you have to deal with one of these rumors... and they will never, ever, EVER stop! You like to talk about us pissing ourselves and shaking or some shite? Man, every fanbase has idiots who can't let go of one coach or another from its' past. Bammers f-ing invented it. If he does go to WVU please make sure and come back to this board and explain how everyone there is handling it so well. GUUUMMMMMP

Bama's been hit hard by probation for the last few years. The other teams in the SEC somehow seem to think their recent success wasn't due to fact that the biggest badass in the neighborhood has been on life support

funny. somehow you bammer heads seem to think the cheating that got you on probation is what made you so good in the first place.

Not me. I hope Saban leaves Bama for WVU after coaching Bama to a loss in the I-bowl. Then, I hope it takes Bama another month to find a coach and all they come up with is Curley freakin' Hallman! Reauxl Tide!!

Let's see: Little Nicky was born in West Virginia; could own the Big Least each year and go to a BCS and possibly NC game; his wife hates Tuscaloser; he has no buyout. He is gone!

Man this shite is great! After all the shite the Gumps have talked over the past year I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight, because for all we know we wake up and can see the mushroom cloud from Tuscaloosa all the way here. At the very least let it drag out for as long as possible; what an absolute meltdown it would be. Almost never pay any attention to rumors but this one's a beauty. God I'm geeked-out.

I hope Saban releases a presser very soon that states, "I will not be the coach at West Virginia." The meltdown would be in full force then. I'm getting a real good kick out of this, even if it's totally bogus. The Gumps better get used to it with Little Nicky running their ship.

I feel like I just found a pair of dirty jeans in the back of the closet, reached inside and pulled out a roll of 100 $ bills!!!

I'm with you, scoop. I don't fault Saban for leaving LSU. He wanted to try coaching in the pros, and if a college coach wants to try the NFL, there is nothing you can do to keep him. Now all this hatred directed at Saban is over the top. I don't dislike Saban in particular, I only dislike the fact that Ala-dadgum-bama now has an extremely competent, proven head coach.

LSU > Michigan > WVU > Auburn > Miss St > ULM > Bama. It is truly unbelievable how things change.

My only problem with Saban is that he returned to the SEC west to coach against LSU. I dont really care which school in the west he went to. If he would have gone any where outside of the SEC I would have wished him the best until he went head to head with LSU.

We should start a fund drive or have a bake sale for West Virginia.I would however miss the Gumps f**king with us about Sabin. If Sabin leaves Bama, I will be able to pull for every SEC team in the bowls. Oh wait I forgot about Chop block U.

Cool. Most Bama fans didn't give a rip if Miles left for UM. I'll sleep tonight if I heard Saban left for WVU. I guess that means I have a life.

This story was fabricated per the WVU rivals board. It got more play here than on the Barner boards.
