I agree, we need to stop this nonsense discussion about Jimbo. No way do we want him.

Only an idiot would say "we absolutely do not want a fairly young, very successful, title-winning coach that recruits on par with Saban and knows LSU and the SEC well"
Are there better coaches than Jimbo? Maybe. But it's silly to think "do not want Jimbo" ... On paper, he would be a grand slam hire for LSU. If you for whatever reason don't like him or his personality, fine, but Jimbo Fisher is a very good coach with an excellent resume, and it's not even debatable.

Jimbo would be way better than what we have now. He has coached in the SEC and at LSU, won SEC Championships and a NC as a coach in the SEC, and he gets great recruits (and already knows the recruiting area).
He is not in as good of a conference as the SEC, but he replaced a legend, went on a 29-game winning streak that included an undefeated NC season where he knocked off the SEC in the NC, and they are loaded again this year. Even when he suspended Winston, they managed to beat Clemson. He knows how to make in-game adjustments and always has good defenses. While we were holding on for dear life to beat UF at home last year, he beat them 27-2 at The Swamp in a rebuilding year. He has won 83% of his games. That is hard to do anywhere.
