Quick passes to Dural- needs to be a staple moving forward

I know this is likely wishful thinking, but if we are facing pass protection issues and 8 men in the box consistently, we need to scrap the long developing pass plays and quickly get it to our playmakers in space. Sconnie corners didn't have a shot in hell of tackling Dural...I'm sure Chark and Guice would be equally effective in similar situations.

The answer to our prayers. Quick outs that we have been doing for years....

Our QB is terrible at throwing those "quick passes"

I posted this last night. Harris is comfortable with that pass and Dural has good yac ability and an underrated stiff arm.

Looked like he hit Dural between the numbers pretty much every time to me. He struggled with the deep drops yesterday.

Won't work unless there is some bunch formations where slants and other options are there. Could include flips to the rB, etc. but what do I know. Not a football coach.
The db's have to back away from the los.

Not a football coach either, but I would think they could start with the quick turn and catches and then work in double moves off that once the DBs start creeping up.

Usually, but he did throw the bubble screens well yesterday though and they moved the chains.

His mobility has become a complete non-factor. It's like he forgot that he can run.

We should run that play to opposite sides of field the first three plays of the game. It gets BH comfortable and lets him calm down so he isnt throwing every pass 100 miles and hour. It puts the ball in our playmakers hands who are really good after the catch. Most important it keeps the defense on its heels and doesnt allow them to pin their ears back.

I was sort of amazed rear it was obvious that corner couldn't tackle him after two tries and we never went back

Yep. Why the hell were we going 7 step drop in Sconnie territory on the last drive instead of a quick pass to the sideline?

Because our offensive coordinator has no memory of what works in a game. This is every year. Something works once or twice when we do it and then we totally abandon it.
