Our tackles do need to play better, but you only have to remember back to Mettenberger to see what kind of offense we could have if our OC and HC trust his arm and grasp of the offense.
yeah we have to have nfl talent all over the fricking field for our offense not to look like total shite. That should tell you all you need to know

Or, we just need a QB who is accurate and knows his progressions.

Btw, I wanted Miles gone last November. I want to bring in Tom Herman. I want a change at HC. My point in this thread is that the QB change is an in season move that I think needs to be made to see what we can salvage.

Harris did throw that last interception. Didn't he? Basically panicked and threw instead of running for 5-10 yards. So much for instincts.

Harris will not progress any further than where he is now. But Etling will not see the field. Les will use his "back injury" as an excuse to keep him off the field.

No. He's not good. We always go through this shite. Why do we always do the same shite every year?

You racist a-holes better settle down.

Etling is also hurt.

Recall that BH replaced AJ mid season due to effectiveness.

I have stated this already. Since Jimbo Fisher left, every quarterback (Hatch, Lee, Jefferson, Mettenberger first year, Jennings and Harris) have all looked the same. If they put Etling or Scott in, are they going to give a better hand-off or sweep than Harris?

I promise you, Harris was better in HS. He had confidence, he could get comfortable.

Under Miles, he's not allowed to be confident.

What Harris did in yesterday's game was a culmination of years of neglect. Les never allowed Harris to ever get comfortable, and he never allowed him to make mistakes and keep playing.

When you only allow Harris is throw 15 times a game for the first 5 games of the season last year and then expect him to succeed against much better competition throwing the ball a lot more while coming form behind, what do you think the result will be?

He is not going to allow any QB to play and get in any rhythm enough to be successful.

That was a PAINFUL 21 passing attempts for Les Miles yesterday.

His offense is built to only run, and passing is considered a "necessary evil".

He's put in awkward stances, awkward downs and distances, put in lose-lose pressure situations because he never practiced them before.

The play calls are so fricking slow, he has no chance to use the guys with speed to his advantage.

There are at least 50 teams in CFB that could run 4 plays in the time it takes LSU to run 2 plays. The name of the game is SPEED, playing fast, getting your opponent on its heels by snapping the ball while theyre out of position. We have never ever ever ever ever ever ever taken advantage of that particular skill and its completely non-existent inside les miles head.

And did our dual threat QB run downfield even one time yesterday? If he did, I missed it. What good is a dual threat if he never runs? Just as soon have a passing QB who is not a running threat if the QB never runs anyway.

Hell, he almost got LF's and that TE's knees separated from their bodies.

This guy gets it. It's Harris and there needs to be a change. He's just not good. If it's not Etling then it needs to be Scott. Saban surly had no problem putting in TF Hurts. Even Jesse Palmer said late last night basically, "What we learned yesterday was maybe LSU is not as good as we thought and Brandon Harris is not very good".

Yep, he is a hard-headed idiot...

Look, the Harris experiment failed- before we get into the heavy part of the schedule, give the other QB's a chance! We are going to lose a few games with Harris anyway.

Watch it again. SEVERAL throws were bad and not on time. And too high.

Example: last play before half everyone knew we were basically going deep. Still MD got 2 ducking steps behind the db and Harris severely underthrew the pass and it ended up an interception. Just like that, there goes at least 3 pts.

And let's be honest, a Jr high qb doesn't make as bad of a decision as the last play.

Can Etling pass block? Or run block for that matter?

The fox radio guys couldn't even find the words to describe how terrible the passing game looked yesterday.

We haven't had a dual threat since Mett, and Miles screwed him up. All I've heard over the last few years is about how this fantastic "dual threat" QB was coming to LSU and going to lead the offense...still waiting...
