I think they're saying they'll be able to say "I told you so."

They wouldn't really be wrong either. I just disagree with them at this point. I expect a great season.

I just think it's a miserable existence to constantly expect the worst just so you can say "I told you so" if and when it happens.

Last year Harris only looked bad against AL and ATM. The defense is where an overhaul was needed. I think Aranda can fix that.

I'm not disputing that Alleva has to go. If Miles is fired by the people with real power (who most certainly have more to do than post here day after day)then Alleva absolutely has to go too. F'King Alexander as well.

Against teams with shitty defenses you are correct. Serviceable as in...give it to 7 or throw it deep.

You cant tell these football ignorant posters that. They think our offense was still worse than our defense last year. fricking a&m finished with some better defensive rankings than lsu last year(specifically scoring defense).

You have no clue what youre talking about.
We finished 4th in the sec in offensive yards per game and 3rd in offensive points per game.
I guess Florida had a shite defense.

Yeah, yeah. 10 wins, baby. Along with the 20 other 10-win teams. I know you won't appreciate this, but I get pissed-off when we finish the season behind teams like Air Force, Marshall, and Duke.

Two keys that are intertwined:

1. Extend drives by converting 3rd downs.
2. Better D-line play.

If you increase TOP, then defense will have less chance to get gassed like they did against Bama and Arky.

The defense sucked against everyone. We gave up 20 points to every mid major program we played. We were 9th in the sec in opponents offensive points per game( behind a&m).

Are you under the impression that winning 9 games every year is easy?
From 2009-2013 only 4 programs were able to win 9 games every year and lsu was one of them.
At lsu miles has as many top 5 finishes as Saban, Mac, and Dietzel combined. But yeah just 10 win seasons.
I hate our football ignorant and entitled fan base.

Right because we all know that these 3 programs play in the most talent rich division in cfb. None of those teams finished ahead of lsu in 2015 but hey you clearly dont use facts in your posts so why start now.

Miles will not change until he has a QB that he trusts completely. Mettenberger and Flynn both were fifth year seniors and JR was a once in a lifetime QB talent. Other than them he hasn't had a QB he had faith in to make the offense fun.

Youre really showing your football ignorance with this statement.

Miles took over a program with 1 top 5 finish in over 2 decades.

Are we giving Saban credit for Miles owning auburn?

Miles is a better coach than every auburn coach ever.
How does it feel having such a mediocre coach own your shite program?

That guy is still really bitter after going on the Finebaum show and stating boldly that Miles had a ZERO percent chance of returning. Guy's ego is as big as his head.
