The only one with which I take umbrage is Michigan. That program has won one national title since the end of the ‘50s. It’s an overrated program that would rank no higher than Georgia or Tennessee in anyone’s mind if it was located in the South.

I think 9 is a good spot for LSU overall.

Wouldn't call Fla State or Michigan blue bloods. They had legendary coaches with over the top personalities. Media darlings

Win the natty this year and we pass Nebraska. They are like Harvard and Army, once upon a timers.

If you take a random sample of college football fans nationally and ask them to list a top three bucket list of venues to visit, LSU’s Tiger Stadium and probably Notre Dame will be 1 and 2.

All other random statistics are meaningless.

With a national championship this season, LSU will pass Nebraska for that 8th spot.

Nebraska's down and probably never returning to glory. Michigan is a product of playing ball forever. I mean they do have 11 national titles but most of those came prior to the end of the great depression and the last one was shared with a superior Nebraska squad. I mean, why not just throw Minnesota and West Point on the list?

Agree with most of the list, with some exceptions. Nebraska and Oklahoma have been good programs for a long time (Nebraska not so much recently), but they piled up a large number of wins and ships in that powerhouse league the Big 8, where most of the time whichever one of them won the head to head game, won the league. Reminds me of Clemson in recent years, piling up wins with no comp and only having to win one game against real comp and then not until the cfp. Minnesota, while not being relevant recently, until this year, has 7 titles they claim and 2 that are unclaimed, more than most of the blue bloods. Just noticed that list came out 3 years ago.

I just don’t understand why aTm is ranked in the top 20. ¯\_(?)_/¯

To say LSU isn’t a blue blood is assinine. There’s more than 8 blue bloods in college football period.

Nebraska's downwards trend should open up that 8 spot pretty soon

9 is really the best we could expect. I’ve seen many “all time football program” rankings where we are in the 10-12 range.

I think it’s a pretty fair ranking.

But I’m not sure why Texas is considered a blue blood.

The Longhorns and UCLA are the 2 most underachieving programs in CFB history. Can add aTm to that list as well

4 of the 8 havent done anyrhing of note in the last 10 years. That should disqualify them. If you're going to use historic relevancexl as the criteria, Minnesota and Yale should be bluebloods.

I guessed 7 out of 8. Nebraska has been absolute shite for so long it's easy to over look them.
