I've never read a comic in my life and never get super hyped about the movies. I do enjoy them for popcorn entertaining movies that they are. I just saw Batman v Superman and wanted to give my cents from a guy who had 0 expectations.

The first half of the movie I was really liking it. Liked the tone and pace and characters. BTW I watched the ultimate edition and god damn didn't realize it was 3 hours long. lol

When they introduced Luther and got more into his plot line it started wobbling. Bad casting

The part where Batman was about to kill Superman and he said "they are going to kill Martha" and then he stopped is where it lost me. WTF was that? it was a jump the shark moment for me. why would he say that right then? and who says there moms name and not just say "they're going to kill my mom"?

Affleck was ok for me, but liked him as Wayne more than Batman.

from then on it was all over the place for me. ended ok, but i gave it a C+

call me old school, but give me Keaton and the first 2 as my favorites. I also loved the Nolan trilogy

since i never read all the threads about this when it came out, what did the M/TV board think?

According to this board it's the worst film ever put onto film.

I personally thought it was okay, it was easily worth my $10 IMAX ticket.

I watched it a couple weeks ago as well.

hat did the M/TV board think?

I thought it was pretty bad. Not even entertaining a lot of the time, and most of it made very little sense.

To be honest, I was pretty indifferent about it from the beginning when it was announced, but I did want to like it, I just didn't.

It needed more dialogue and less cinematography.

I still do not understand the monster at the end. It was as if they said "here is the villain." WtF does blood of my blood mean?

Eisenberg as Luthor is one of the all time worst casting decisions in movie history. A fricking catastrophe. Added to it is the absolute pure shite dialogue given to the character. Really the worst interpretation of a great villain possible.

The thing is I bet Snyder thought that moment was pure fricking genius. I think he was shocked when people thought it was weak. It's so planted and shallow.

Yep. Aside from the forced nature of that being the reason he turns (they damn well telegraphed it from the very beginning of the movie laboring over her name being the last thing out of Thomas Wayne's mouth and then on the tombstone...NO ONE says theirs mom's FIRST NAME in that situation.

Just so dumb...

To me, the one saving grace it has is Ben Affleck. Maybe it's his friendship with Kevin Smith that had him do this role right (or as right as it can be) but he is by far the best Batman ever put on screen in terms of combat. No one has ever gotten it right until he did and for that, I'll give this movie a few points. Cavill actually would be a great Superman as well if he wasn't so damn moody and emo.

With that said, Suicide Squad was utter trash and I hope they abandon that story altogether going forward.
