Yea that makes a lot of sense. Coach K voluntarily chooses a Tar Heel to be on the team, but secretly he hates him so he doesnt play him. Also, the fact that Barnes was far and away the worst player on the team had nothing to do with it. Go play in traffic.

Really did not have ultimate personnel decision making ability. USA Basketball and the Colangello's made the roster.

He had to try and hide his Duke bias so he chose Barnes so he would be able to say exactly what you just said.
