I just watched it for the first time in 11 years and I don't remember it being this good. Tom Cruise is an effin boss. The directing seems great. And I really like the soundtrack too. Lots of audioslave.

I really liked the movie.

The scene when Foxx goes into the club and pretends to be the hitman was a little silly(when he tells the guy to put his gun away behind his back).

I think it ended a little quick and not in line with the rest of the movie. Cruise was literally mowing people down in a club like rambo, made perfect shots in the head and chest with the robbers earlier in the movie, and now he cant hit Foxx from 15 feet in the train. Come on.

Great movie though

Great movie, save for the last 20 minutes. That contrived plot development with the black lawyer woman was cringeworthy

One of the most accurate movies I've seen in regards to the quality of the gunplay and combative elements. Cruise did a ton of training

COmpletely agree. Jamie Foxx was also really great in this. Very worthy of his Oscar nomination.

That was one thing I really liked about the movie. You had a legit badass that was believable. After him, you had a bunch of people that were not on his level and the movie stayed true to that.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves with movies. Everyone and their grandmother is a master with firearms.

Made a thread about this years ago

well, no shite it isn't as good as Heat. Heat is absolutely in a league of its own.

I have been dying for Mann to make another movie on the same level as Heat, but I'm not sure it will ever happen.

Excellent movie with a lot of existential material for thought. One of my favorites.

I disagree. Vincent's ethos is that we are all specks of dust. He justifies his profession by his existentialism, but in reality he has become an abject nihilist. That development shows that things happen for a reason and maybe there is a higher meaning, in defiance of Vincent's world view.

YOU'RE GARBAGE. I'm just kidding of course, but I couldn't disagree with you more. Heat was fantastic.

I literally almost typed the same thing, but I didn't want LaCour mistakenly take me seriously.

That shootout in the street is not of the best shoutout a in cinema history.
