Category 5 hurricane wouldn't drop this much rain....unless it just sat on top of us for two days.

well a cat 5 would just rip your roof off and just dump the 10" straight into your living room.

A Cat 5 storm isn't the rain maker. I had just moved to Houston in 2001 when Tropical Storm Allison hit dumping 40" of rain on the city. It's certainly not out of the realm that Louisiana will have many such floods. In fact, it's probable.
