Call Emory Equipment or Scott Equipment and ask for @ 20 Ton truck crane. They are very simple to operate and they have a safety whereby you don't overload the lift and tip the unit over.
Just stake your time and it's relatively simple.
I would not do the Lull forklift route, because it's a $200 delivery fee plus the cost of equipment.

Update to my flooded boat saga, insurance allowed me to keep boat and repair. They originally wanted to total and crush but I didn't feel I could replace what I had for insured value.
Pickled the engine (crankcase was filled to top with water), flushed the fuel system and it runs great (taken it out 3 times), still need to replace some gauges, seats, trim tabs, etc. but hull cleaned up and is still rock solid. Need to get back to trailer shop to get a few things fixed and have insurance money set aside in case anything craps out.
Realized I really had her under-insured but overall I'm in great shape and think I'll get another 10 yrs out of rig.

Props to you for not just taking a quick check and totalling the boat. Glad you actually took the time to assess the damage and fix what you had. Pride of ownership is a lost cause for most people these days.

So the night after Mike G called me it rained hard and boat floated 300ft to other end of canal. This allowed him to take down chain link fence and pull out with excavator.

They really did, its Progressive and I highly recommend.
Insurance PSA:
One thing I learned through this ordeal is that your personal watercraft insurance covers an event like this, many others (and myself too thought the shops insurance would cover the repair). Adjuster told me that the Boats Unlimited shop down the street was totaled, 100% store inventory and customers who'd left boats for repair. He said they only had insurance on the inventory and all the customers were SOL. Said basically when you drop off a boat to be repaired it's in the fine print of the repair invoice.
Also that in he State of LA if they "total" anything with a VIN for flood it has to be crushed or sold out of state (by LA law). Meaning if they totaled my rig I couldn't have bought back the engine, trailer or hull from them under a salvage title. Why I struggled with the decision for so long to repair or total.

This is true for all types of vehicles. Cars, motorcycles, boats, anything...
Shops' insurance do not cover damage to customer's property and it's the customer's responsibility to file claims with their insurance.
I went through this with a truck that was at a shop during the May, 1995 flood and also with a jet ski that was at a shop in Chalmette when katrina hit.
