for those with a boat, i am willing to help

Honestly, we learned today that the help isn't needed as much on the boats. But when they bring people to dry ground. Most of them don't have anywhere to go or anyone there to get them. Spent all of my afternoon/evening just picking up people and their pets from the entrance to the subdivision and bringing them to a friend/relative's home or a shelter.

I amazed by the smart arse answers, baw. Those of us that are actually willing to help; unlike the others who type bs responses. We are trying to help.

Don't let em get to you. I'm sure there will be help needed in St Amant today, they're getting overrun right now.
I would imagine if you went to Lamar Dixon, there will be someone there coordinating rescues.

I hear ya. When someone asks to go out in a boat it sounds like they are just getting cabin fever and want to get out and away from their wife and maybe see the damage I stead if being cooped up, and help as well.

But when you offer to do the thankless stuff like what you just mentioned it sounds more sincere.

Anyway, I agree, it's a terrible mess based on the pics and videos I've seen and I can't imagine what folks are going through. Best of luck and just ignore us smartasses on the OT.
