First you'd have to buy their picks to fade them, second they dont lose every pick they make, they just all lie about their success and long term records.
They are salesmen trying to get you to buy their picks, not experts on handicapping. For all you know they could just flip a coin and that is their pick.
Many touts like to sell both sides of the line as well.
