Anyone with experience have an idea of what it would cost to repair a 1800 ft home?
Plenty of people will have to deal with this without insurance.

Probably depends on the amount of damage.

How much water, typically with flood, drywall is cut out at 2', 4' or 8'. Drywall and paint is cheap in the grand scheme of things, the cabinets are expensive, so is the flooring. Tile would not be damaged from flood water as long as it was attached to a slab and not on wood sub flooring. The wiring would not be damaged, but most of the appliances would be trash. Expect to pay $40-$80k as a rough estimate.

I would take photos of before and then start cutting walls out and hauling carpet. Never had to go through it but plenty of friends have.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Depends how high the flooding is and how long sitting water is inside the house. Depends what the floors are made of. Depends depends what kind of items are drenched inside etc.

Most of my friends in the north Monroe area from the march flooding have spent 60k-80k

Way way to many factors in play to put in a guess for a question like this. It begins with how nice the house was to begin with. What kind of flooring and if it can be saved. What kind of cabinets. Appliances can cost all over the place.
Then you factor in how deep the flood water was. It sounds weird, but I think a flash flood with a real quick rise and fall wouldn't be as bad as a river flood where the water might be in the house for a few days.
Just no way to estimate something like this with so many variables.

This is coming from insurance estimating software. Price is figured by a flooring store to complete the work and includes labor and material. It does not include furniture moving or any baseboard manipulation. Price for the work should be ~$3900

Best thing you can do is open everything up, spray bleach, and run some carpet drying fans

Harbor Freight has the fans for $55. I linked below a printable coupon for 25% off this weekend that would get you down to $41.25.

Depends on how many of your local contractors you know and trust hire all the "traveler scammers" that will flood these areas to help cover all the work they will have. They follow these things like flies and will likely leave more damage for people to deal with than the floods caused.
