1.Murphy
2.Rizzo

3.Arenado
4.Bryant

That's my order

Think the top 2 are the only 2 realistic choices unless arenado just goes stupid the last 6 weeks. Bryant won't win just because Rizzo is ever so slightly better

You're biased. I'm trying not to be. Fact is, Murphy has better stats in just about every category than Rizzo. If Rizzo wins, it's because of the Cubs' feel good story. Not taking ANYTHING away from how great he's been but Murphy has stepped up in Harper's "absence".

Not that I'll feel bad if Rizzo gets the nod #gocubsgo

I think Rizzo is more valuable as a leader, more reliable etc but if a Cub wins MVP it will likely be Bryant. Look at WAR leaders in the NL. Bryant plays 3B and OF flawlessly, Rizzo plays 1B.

U think voters are gonna factor WAR in more than "he's the leader"? Hope u right, Rizzo deserves it

Eta: right about Rizzo over Murphy. Just can't see voters giving Bryant the nod over Rizzo.

Guessing ur a Dodger fan? Cause that's the only reason to throw his name out there. Fantastic season...not MVP caliber. Slam dunk ROY though

There is no denying Murphy's numbers and if he won it would be well-deserved and you would hear no argument from me. But I am biased and I know the Cubs. And they are not the same team without Anthony Rizzo. He's incredibly valuable to them.

not a Dodgers fan, NL leader in WAR........140 wRC+ while playing great SS D. That's MVP caliber.

I'd probably go Bryant, but with Seager second. Murphy and Rizzo would be worthy as well.

maybe.

he is never going to be the man he was before the ankle injury.

There is still 7 weeks of ball left.

He would have to carry them with his bat as well as the staff handle business and team finish at least #3 in the NL. #3 would be good enough if he really carries them with his bat. #2 if he is just really good with the bat.

It's close enough between Rizzo, Bryant and Murphy for me that the next 6 weeks matter. Could be any of them.

I'll go Murphy because I'm biased and he's been so valuable with Harper's slump. The Nats offense is Murphy, Ramos and A Bunch of Just Guys.

Rizzo leads every stat except HR & Rizzo doesn't have the benefit of hitting in front of Rizzo

Yea, except hits(+4), runs(+16) WAR(5.3 vs 4.6) , stolen bases(+3), and positions played (6).

The difference between Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo at this stage in their careers can be clearly seen in their back to back AB's last night at the end of the game.

It's no knock on Bryant, but what Rizzo did in that AB is what an MVP does.

I mean I obviously love both but that is a laughable statement
