Looking forward to our game a month from now. I know you guys have Wisky first. We have a nice little tune-up game against an old D2 foe that should provide just enough resistance to work out some bugs, so many of our fans are already looking ahead to you guys.
Our secondary will be solid, but LF is going to be a handful for our retooled DL, and we have unknowns at LB. Our offense is not your typical FCS unit, and I think we can move the ball some. That said, outscoring you will be next to impossible.
Here's to an injury free game.

You guys have a solid team and I think I speak for everyone when I say we have a lot of respect for y'all. After watching y'all against auburn last year, I was really shocked on how high powered the offense was.
I hope it's respectful and an injury free game and I hope you don't ruin anything for us.
Here's to losing with dignity and respect

Exactly what team are we talking about here?

Thought the same thing....didn't think we had USCe on the schedule. Wonder if Perrilloux will be in TS that night?

Winning the game is very unlikely for us. The only thing I am sure we will win is halftime
I know... most of your fans use halftime to hit the head. We take halftime seriously
...and we don't like talking about the Auburn game. Talk about one that got away...

shite! Perrilloux is gonna kill us...... Oh wait.

Perrilloux was a great player for us... unfortunately we were strapped with a horrible coach who couldn't spell defense, let alone coach it. To make matters worse, we were on APR probation RP's senior year and sat at home during the playoffs - in spite of winning the conference.
We did put the fear of God into Florida State that year though...

Dave Aranda hides his blitzers as well as anyone. Spreading the field out, like Jacksonville State does, must have Aranda salivating. He'll light up that backfield almost every play.

My immediate thought when I read the OP was "wait we're playing South Carolina? Since when?"

Our only answer to the pressure will be the mobility of our QB. If you watched us against Auburn, that same QB is back for his senior season, and on the preseason watch list for FCS offensive player of the year. The WR who ate Auburn's lunch (Josh Barge) is back as well. Our offense is loaded.
I am NOT saying that we are going to win the game, but Eli is more than capable of making plays with his legs, and extending plays when pressure comes. I don't know that he will be the best QB you face this season, but he will be one of them. Our defense scares me against you guys... but I do think we will make some plays on offense. I don't know if it will be enough to keep it respectable, but we will make some plays.
Win or lose, our goal is getting back to Frisco for the FCS title game. Last season was our first time playing in it, and we choked under the pressure. We tend to play much better in FBS games because there is no pressure. We are supposed to lose.

This is the kind of offense Chavis destroyed. Pressure isn't the best answer. As Chavis did, you rush to contain and gradually extinguish the pocket. And rely on the best position group on LSU's team to dominate the receivers.

Don't you mean Kelvin Sheppard?

They don't care if people are entertained at half-time or not. If they did, "Marching Band Curley Hallman" wouldn't have been on the payroll for so long.
Remains to be seen if Dennis Ilinas and his Staff will bring anything different to the table or not.
We'll know right away if they've added a little creativity and imagination or if it's the SOS of just going through the motions of boring us all to death at half-time..............

Jacksonville state is going to be fired up. Les sometimes doesn't get our guys to do the same. Let's not forget 80 yards passing on eastern Michigan's shutdown secondary

We are probably a few notches better than Eastern Michigan across the board. I doubt it will mean much to the outcome of the game, but EMU was 1-11 last season, with losses to some really bad teams. I don't think it is a stretch to say that we are good enough compete for the MAC Championship.
Win or lose it is always fun to play the big boys. If we can make you guys a little uncomfortable for a while it is a win for the fans. Our players go into every game with the goal of winning, and it shows in how closely we usually play against top teams from the FBS.
