He said he loves competition, but yet he transferred high schools because he would not have started at QB until the kid in front of him graduated.

franklin was real and true to himself. That being said, he's still an arrogant kid that's going to get embarrassed throwing the ball in the SEC. He was very proud of his 6 touchdowns vs a team that is a perennial shite show

Ollie was my favorite player. Simply bc he couldn't get out of his own way at times even though his talent is in the very least, solid. I can root for a player like that

The head coach Stephens was volatile and hypocritical, but he was consistent. I believe that he wasn't acting for the cameras at all. He's fine being that way too, and has no intention of changing

The counselor was attractive but you can tell she's got some emotional and trust issues.

The offensive coordinator to me seemed fake. I know he probably is a good guy but he's just as cut throat as Stephens when push came to shove. He's all about annihilating and embarrassing an opponent

I looked him up and it said he had comitted to Jacksonville State? I thought he did change his mind? Did he end up switching again?

ETA: just checked again. Said he committed to Jacksonville State, but nothing about enrolling. So who knows.

Well said, if nothing else I think the doc gave us a very true rendition of what goes on at these juco schools. On the one hand I applaud these schools for at least giving the kids a shot at an education/D1 offer but man it also comes off as just super dirty all around.

As for the fight, I really don't put any blame on the emcc side. Between the trainer getting jumped before the game and then the entire other team basically jumping on emcc's star RB, I really don't see how a major brawl was avoidable.

The game probably should have been cancelled when the trainer was jumped.

Just watched it and have some points:
-The whole time players were there they had 1 foot out the door and constantly repeated "I can't wait to leave". So each player was obviously playing for themselves. Which they should. Winning in JUCO means next to nothing. So the whole year everybody plays for themselves, to further their career, but the last game when a teammate gets in a fight now all of a sudden they wanna act like its about the team???
-the coach was an idiot. What an a-hole. He knows kids are using his school as a stepping stone but yet he acts like winning is life & death. And not just winning but winning by curb stomping your opponents. I would never play for that a-hole. The fight was 50-50 to blame on him and his kids, however the suspension is %100 to blame on him. Those in the committee board who make the rulings couldn't wait for something bad to happen to EMCC. He's burned every single bridge in that circle. I don't believe any other coach would have got a 2 game suspension. That was personal.
- that woman deserves a raise.
-AU is in trouble because that QB won't be able to run 20 times a game vs SEC opponents and stay healthy. He's not built like Cam or Tebow.

I went back and forth on the HC. Ultimately I don't think he is the right type of person to be HC at a school like that. It should be more about developing the kids and preparing them and not necessarily 100% winning. His on field antics are completely ridiculous. With that said, he did build that place into a powerhouse program and the facilities seem solid. He was very bipolar.

The head coach couldn't care less about their grades. All he cared about was the playoffs. He was acting like he was the head coach at Alabama. Didn't care much of his players concussion much either.

He's about the same size as Nick Marshall though. I don't think he has the arm talent as Marshall, but it's hard to tell in limited clips from the documentary.

That's all fine and well, but at some point you need to teach these kids that no one in the real world is going to baby them.

My wife works with plenty of poor kids from inner city Jacksonville, and you have to hold them responsible. It is a HUGE part of their therapy.

He's going to look back on this and regret letting his ego prevent him from getting a free education playing football.

Too bad he thought he was too good for DII. He's delusional if he thought he was better than JF3.

I know tons of kids from Louisiana that could've played DII or DIII ball (and probably gotten some money to do so) but went to LSU instead and had a blast. He gave it a go, and wasn't going to play beyond FCS, so he chose to get on to Miss St and get his life on. I'd say it was a smart move really. He may have regrets, but he may not.

People need to realize, when you think Auburn is in trouble in the up coming year... It means they are about to start kicking arse and takin names. They only suck when they are expected to be good.

Just finished. A couple thoughts.

My favorite 2 players were Ollie (obviously) and the backup running back. Ollie was entertaining as shite and the backup rb had a great attitude throughout the whole series and was fast as shite.

frick Franklin. Cocky son of a bitch. I hope his arse starts this year so lsu can pummel him.

I feel for that academic advisor. She literally cried for those kids who barely give a shite about anything. That's rough. She's deserves all kinds of awards.

Great series though. That fight was brutal. Tough luck on the suspension.

Well those six touchdowns got him a full ride to Auburn. I'd be pretty proud of myself as well. Also, after reading this. I kind of see JF3 in a different light.

Well cry me a f'in river. They piss and moan about being discriminated against, yet offer them a free education, and you have to beg them to go to class. They have no plan b, and quit and run when they need heart, and God given talent isn't enough. And I'm white,56,machinist that has worked in shipyards, refineries, shops, for 37 yrs
