Good interview with Coach O.

Talked highly about Rashard Lawrence, Glen Logan, and Frank Herron.

Also mentioned that the D-line weight average last year was around 275 and is now closer to 310.

Love this. Nothing worse than getting pushed off the LOS. We have speed rushers. I love beefing up the middle to stop Bamas power running.

I had no idea it was that bad. Knowing that it makes sense that some of the lesser teams we played were able to move the ball on us, and big, strong teams like those who shall not be named simply pushed us around.

You misspelled "it makes sense bc we don't want to keep getting pushed around by bama and arkansas".

This is due to 2 things:
1. The lighter ends (key, bower, etc...) are now LBs and no longer counted in the average for the dline

2. We got some big new bodies in the middle.

Looking forward to domination.

Im excited for the rotation this year. Coach O seemed excited when mentioning Herron, Lawrence, Logan, and Gilmore. Said Gilmore has made great strides in being a better player. He has improved hip flexability and agility Coach O said.

I can't wait to see Lawrence play. I think he gets a lot more playing time than folks are expecting.

It's hard for me to not have a huge grin on my face while listening to coach O talk about the guys on our roster

This. I know the family and it cracks me up that I constantly read about Valentines impact when we have a freaking monster in Rashard coming in. Nothing against Valentine I just think we're overlooking a top 15, 5 Star player in Rashard.

Did he hint at a silent commit in that interview?

No mention of Trevonte, aka the white whale?

Totally agree. Could easily see him being freshman all sec. I believe he is that type of impact player.

I noticed that O was careful to say that the D line wasn't there yet but should be next season. Giving himself an out just in case the D line under performs.

Hope Valentine makes it to campus and ultimately contributes this season in a meaningful way. For now, I'll just get excited about the guys who are here and who I know will contribute.

while i'm excited about the possibility, that ain't done until it's done. no sense even worrying about it this close. it happens or it don't.

good to see Coach O is excited about what we got. I think we all felt confident with starters - it's depth.

Didn't he say last year he wanted to DL to be lean?

Moscona was totally off IMO the other day ranting that no way LSU should keep giving TV chances. He then he plays a sound bite from Christian LaCouture, and CL has nothing but praise for TV as a person and how he'd love to have him as a teammate.
