Ed probably told Culotta and the Prince to not ask about TV.

I know everyone's high on Neal, but he's pretty small especially against the power teams like Bama and Arky. Hopefully, Herron and some of the new guys will be ready by then.

Valentine is considered a recruit right now. Coach O couldn't talk about him, it would be a recruiting violation.

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I had lunch with Coach O several weeks ago. We had talked in the past, but this is the 1st time i got a chance to spend some real time with him.
First thing, coach is a real down to earth, genuine, and good person.
I asked him how does he get in on so many recruits?
He told me his story, how he grew up and came from humble beginnings. And how hard he had to work for everything he has and how the players can relate to that.
The most influential coach in his life was Jimmy Johnson, he said he learned so much from Coach Johnson when he was on the Miami staff.
He also loves LSU and Coach Miles and said the only way he would l leave is for a HC job.
one tidbit ... He said Coach Miles is the best head coach in college football, when it comes to closing the deal with recruits.
His biggest recruiting threat, is Bama.
We share some other things, but I thought those were the most interesting.

I saw him leaving Sam's Club with a 80 pack of Red Bull.

mntntiger, every body has been grading our line on qb sacks and rushes ,that makes for smaller d linemen ,I doubt that the board has influenced coaches but it almost seems that way ! this year we hope the linebackers supply the sacks and hurries which lets us bring up safeties .

I can assure you this board has not affected our coaches decisions.

I liked hearing him say that they are at least 2 deep at NG, DE & OLB. Depth, along w/ lack of size, was an issue last year.
I also thought it was interesting he mentioned that HE is coaching the OLB's w/ pass rush & run support. Peveto is coaching the OLB's w/ coverage.

Awesome news! We need some hogs up front!
Now the next step are some 240-255 pound linebackers that run 4.5 forty!

Id rather peveto focus on special teams and leave linebacking duties to Aranda.
