I purchased a franchi affinity last December and it has been a great gun so far. Have probably put 500 shells through it with no problems.

Remington Versamax, shoots smooth as hell.
^^This is the truth!! I have shot plenty of SBE2's, A5's, Berettas, etc. Nothing compares to this fine weapon system. You can get it for around $1000 bucks too. By far the best shotgun I have ever owned.

Thanks, I'm looking to sell my VersaMax and get one.

I bought my son a Franchi Affinity youth compact for Christmas this past year. Haven't shot it enough to form an opinion yet, but we will be shooting a bunch here very soon.

I bought an Affinity, its been thru 2 seasons so far. Can't complain, I've put probably 1500 rounds thru it. Easy to clean. Nice and light.

I was trying to choose between a franchi and the Versa Max and in the end went with the Remington because I have had them all my life and have had no issues so far. With that being said the Franchi is a fine gun and if I start having issues with my Remington it will be the next one I get.

Why are you wanting to sell your Versa Max?

I like the gun. Just had several issues with it lately, with one being the firing pin coming out while shooting skeet.

I have the A300 Outlander Synthetic. This will be my third season with it and I have absolutely no complaints. Beretta makes a great shotgun.

How long have you had it? I ask because when they first came out it had some issues but since work through the bugs. hopefully

quote:You could buy these now or get a Franchi, Stoeger or Beretta Uplander now and buy one of the more expensive later just because you want a new duck gun. There's no wrong answer.
Benelli SBEII or the Beretta A400 are hard to beat.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing. Bought mine as soon as it came out. I think that's the problem.

So many options I don't know what to do lol

Look I bought the SBE due to real world experiences. I hunt with guys a couple times a year in Arkansas... These guys hunt every morning.... Don't miss a day every morning. Think they have only missed 5 days in the last 4 years. They put no less than 5-6 cases a year through their guns. The SBE has held up the best, no functional problems with any of the SBEIIs. The SBEs have a min of 10,000 rounds put through them. The beretta A400 has been almost flawless, but have had problems from time to time. Everything else that has come through has problems. They hunt prime managed territory and host a number of people throughout the year. They see a lot of guns. I asked them and it was a no doubter. Only way to go is the SBE. Frozen ponds, 15 deg weather, raining... Whatever, it always works.

Anyone shoot a 26" for ducks and doves? I've been considering moving down after shooting a friend's 26".
