They're frustrated because they didn't get what they want," Bertman said. "You can't get Les Miles -- the guy signed his contract. It's over."

Bertman does not understand why. Miles has signed a contract, after all.

"There's a bias as to why would a guy would stay at LSU when he could go to Michigan," Bertman said Monday. "I'm here to tell you it's a better job. It's more money. It's the only school in the state. It's a wonderful place. His wife loves it here, he loves it here.

"Les Miles was very close with (legendary former Michigan coach) Bo Schembechler. If Bo Schembechler were alive today, I don't think (Michigan) could have gotten Miles. Not because he doesn't like Michigan. He loves Michigan. But he also loves it here, too. The pay here is going to be more than the highest paid guy in the Big Ten. Money isn't the answer. Les isn't even a money guy. I think Les likes it here. His wife likes it here. His kids like it here. The bias that how could anybody not come to Michigan? Michigan is a storied school, but the guy is already invested here."

Is this really necessary by Skip? I mean, we all know the contract doesn't mean anything if he wants to leave. I don't think Miles will leave, but it sounds like Skip is trying to get media play to make Les look bad if he does leave.

Rocket,

Take what Skip says with a grain of salt; he thinks, and that's the operative word here, that Miles is invested here and won't move.
I'd like to hear Skip's explanation on why Miles is still talking to Michigan. I doubt that Martin is seeking his advice on who should be the next coach at UM, if he doesn't want the job.
That's just a guess, but my guess is just as good as Skip's.

No, Bertman just wants to help Miles steal the best recruit in your state, like last year (Barksdale)

Say what you want, but thanks Skip for thinking like most sensible LSU fans (me). Thanks for letting the nation know that our coach isn't for sale.

Amen!!! Ya know it gets really old on here with all the conspiracy theory crap about Les. I can't understand why know one can believe that Les likes it at L.S.U and he wants to stay? I think it must be Nick Saban syndrome or something. Just because one a-hole pulls some back ale shite does not mean every coach is like that. GET OVER IT. We showed Saban who is boss on the field. Plus his season sucked so he got his pay back. I loved living in Louisiana and when I get a chance I will move back. So maybe just maybe Les is for real and is going to make his career at good old L.S.U. Until then lets let the guy do his job and win us games.

Occam's Razor - The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. Coach Miles isn't going anywhere.
