Bailey Raborn, a preferred walk-on punter at LSU and former St. Thomas More standout, was arrested Sunday in Lafayette for operating a vehicle while impaired.
Raborn posted bond $1,000 bond. The arrest affidavit was not immediately available.
Coach Les Miles is "aware of the situation and is trying to gather information before making any comment," school spokesman Michael Bonnette said Monday.
Raborn, ranked by 247Sports.com as the third-best punter in the 2016 recruiting class, committed to LSU in December. He spurned scholarship offers from a host of schools, including Mississippi State and UCLA. He was previously committed to the Bruins. Raborn did not sign a National Letter of Intent with LSU. He walked on to the program and was set to begin his first preseason camp with the Tigers in August.
Raborn’s arrest comes less than a week after backup punter Trent Domingue announced he was leaving the program because his scholarship was not renewed. Domingue was listed as the backup punter to Josh Growden, a redshirt freshman who’s poised to replace Jamie Keehn as the Tigers’ starter.
During his last two seasons at St. Thomas More, Raborn, a first-team All-District 4-4A kicker, booted 72 percent (104 of 144) of his kickoffs for touchbacks. Last year, Raborn averaged 40.8 yards on 25 punts with a long of 63 yards and dropped 13 punts inside the 20-yard line. He was also 55-of-57 on extra points and 5-of-8 on field goals.

Well that blows.
His right eye is looking at the camera. Left eye is watching his football career go down the drain.

There was a team vote to decide his fate but most of the ballots came back with "who?"

This. Gotta think a guy who can simultaneously keep one eye on the ball and the other on the defense is pretty rare.

Buga assured Les we wouldn't need a punter this year.

Looks like he was in a Mid South Wrestling match with the Junk Yard Dog .

What would Saban do?
Nothing, at least until the third offense, presumably. Saban's track record suggest that two DUIs don't even warrant a suspension.

I guess he enjoys the air conditioner too often.
