The way he's playing right now he may not be in the Minors by the weekend.

I am pretty sure he will still be in the minors this weekend....they also have a 3 day break for their all-star game.

I'm glad the OP brought this up...I will surely try to make the trek to the Shrine on Airline for one of the games this weekend.

Is he likely to play on each game? May well go Friday

Got tickets for Saturday night. Hard to pass up seeing the last two short stops to play at LSU.

No reason why he wouldn't. He is the regular 3rd baseman and is on a tear.

He will probably play in 3 out of 4 games. They travel to Round Rock after the game on Sunday so wouldn't be surprised if he sits out the Sunday game.

He's been at short, Colin Moran is at third.

My bad...I figured he was in Fresno to learn how to play 3rd. Seems like the Astros already have a shortstop...

Astros GM said he wants him to get comfortable at the AAA level before asking him to learn a new position. So they are keeping him at short for now. There is really no rush to bring him up at this point. He can stay at the AAA level for another month play a lot of baseball and then the Astros can call him up mid to late August for a playoff push in the last month of the season.

Why not work him in CF? Valbuena has been pretty steady lately and Gomez can't hit his weight this year.

Alex to third, Valbueno to First and Reed DH if needed.

Gomez has proved in the past he can hit at the Major League level and has elite speed that you have to have in Houston's centerfield.

This is the most likely scenario. I still believe the organization is ok with not rushing anything. See how Bregs does for another month at AAA when the pitchers adjust to him and he has to adjust to their adjustments.

Is it really $1 beer on Thursday?

ETA: Never mind I just looked. That will save me some cash.

Aaron also had a nice game.
