Breaking: Houston PD Officers kill armed man

Just got word that there was an officer involved shooting in Houston. Witnesses say it was an unarmed black man shot 8-10 times. Will update with new info as I get it.
EDIT: (Police point of view) Happened at around 12:40 am.
Officers patrolling the area noticed the man had a gun (contrary to witnesses, so who knows the truth, just saying what I heard from both sides.) There was no 911 call or note for them to search the area, they were just on normal patrol when they spotted him. Officers get out the car and tell him to drop it. After a while he instead points it to the sky. A while later as he begins to lower it the officers fire at him.

Well guys it's been a hell of a ride. 240 years is pretty damn good. Wouldn't mind getting one more football season in though.

Shockingly enough he will turn out to be another guy with 20 plus crimes on his record etc. the uproar will be massive, although children are shot on a daily basis in shitty arse neighborhoods, because they need something to be outraged over and to blame for their plight.

The country is going to burn tomorrow over this but why didn't he drop the gun when told to? Can't really blame them for that. I'm assuming he did actually have a gun that's not really something the cops can lie about here
