I also understand it's the media that has created the narrative - not the black community themselves. They are marching based off of the media's content.

They are informing themselves through the national media.

4 hours later and you're still arguing this shite?

For fricks sake. On Fox News now. Camo claiming he was unjustly persecuted and an apology is not good enough.
See, this is why the minimal sympathy I had for him has evaporated. He had a minor inconvenience, relatively speaking, while officers were being slaughtered. That sucks and I'm sorry it happened, but how out of touch can you be to take your plight to national TV after the events of last night?
Arguing about it on the OT is peanuts and fills 30 pages while little else was being updated. Looking for sympathy on a national news program is pathetic. Screw him and screw Fox and any other outlet that gives him the time of day.

The black community is losing their collective minds.
Nah, just the ones on TV and social media. Rest easy my friend, most of them are just as apathetic as the rest of us.

Okay.....so am I, and I seem to be coming to a much different conclusion than them. Just so happens to be that the actual information is readily available for anyone to see

A DPD news alert would certainly reach more than 4.5 mil Twitter followers of CBS, esp considering it was published at 2am. You're smarter than this
CBS, nbc, fox, cnn, all of them would run with if DPD issued a statement
News stations were itching to report on stuff last night when there became a lull in info. Even with that there was no mention of it on fox and cnn

From what I've seen of him, he seems relatively sane and the brother is the one pushing him to be so "upset"

BLACK LIVES MATTER (only if a white man is the killer)
Calling that discombobulated, aimless group "black lives matter" is/was one of the biggest blunders of the social media age.
They took a movement centered around the discussion of the militarization of the police and police brutality - a movement with broad, bipartisan and multi-racial support - and completely obliterated it by choosing "black lives matter" as the rallying cry.
At this point, no moderate, rational person who wants to have a discussion about police brutality is going to associate themselves with a group that can be characterized as a domestic terrorist, even if it is just on the fringes of that group. A movement against police brutality that was picking up steam is now as divisive as ever as people feel like they're forced to support their race more than justice and the truth.
For someone who had any hope for change, it is truly infuriating.

After Jamal and Eliza last night, the interviews all just seem like blah blah blah

For once I wish a tv host had a set of balls to put these people in their place.

If you can't see that the media is driving a race divide then i can't help you.

Guys do you realize that cops have blown up more blacks than whites this year? Such a staggering statistic.

Protesters taunt the police after Dallas shooting
Wow.
I watched that entire video, and all I can say is, wow. Reminds me of when terrorists attack, and the Muslim countries have people dancing in the street, celebrating the destruction of America. We now have snipers murdering police officers, and citizens celebrating in the streets. Think about that.

Social media would have you thinking another civil war is breaking out.
Then I put my phone away and swap jokes with my white and hispanic coworkers and get dressed to play basketball with a couple of my Asian neighbors and before I go to my church small group hosted by another mixed couple with 3 kids

A black friend of mine on Twitter was wondering why the "protesters" at the S-Mart only come out at night. He said during the day they play gospel there and no one is around, but at nighttime they turn on Boosie and everyone comes out with their BBQ grills and turkey leg fryers, drinking 40 oz. He said it's not a protest, it's a block party
