I typically don't associate myself with people who would get involved with Meth, heroine or anything hardcore.
I've heard of old highschool classmates that got involved with all that nonsense, but they were never a part of my life after graduation.
I don't understand how people get involved in that life.

At the age of 57, not even one of your friends, in your group, has never smoked weed? I can probably count on one hand the number of people I know who has never smoked weed.. Well, I guess it would depend on what range we are talking about in terms of "knowing people", but in HS & college, it was just as common as drinking.
Have you ever smoked a cigarette? I have not, I have never seen the point in it, but I have smoked.. well you know.
What I am referring to goes well beyond weed. With that said, why would you think weed is so much more extreme than alcohol?
I think your reading comprehension is off. He is saying his friends smoke the pots way better than him

From my experience with him and other similar experiences, I think drug addicts are worthless and should be given up on after one stint in rehab doesn't work. If they can't commit to being clean after going to rehab, they won't get clean after the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc times
On one hand I get what you are saying. On another hand, damn that is fricked up.
Addiction is a disease. You don't give up on cancer patients who relapse right?

All those pictures look like run of the mill people living in Portland or Seattle.

I have smoked weed since I was 14. Never have done coke, acid, lsd, heroin, etc.

Not sure if there are any hard starts, but it seems like a lot of people know regular suburban joes who got hooked on painkillers and have destroyed their lives.
My best friend from college passed away almost three years ago after developing an addiction to painkillers after two major back surgeries (failed lumber fusions) and a total shoulder replacement in the span of three years. Died alone in a $20 million beach house in Hermosa Beach, CA- all of his money couldn't save him from his demons.

War on drugs. Keep it alive. Sooner or later you will crack. Don't come here and make me say I told you so

I don't care what they try. they won't stop drugs from coming in

My best friend did the exact same, minus the 20 mil beach house. Had a great job, great family, beautiful wife and kids. Went from painkillers to the big H...
