Miles is our version of Phil Fulmer. Awesome recruiter who could parlay all that talent into only 1 NC when he caught lightning in a bottle the year after his stud qb went pro. His career was spent chasing Spurrier and coming up on the short end of the stick most times in doing so, just like Miles and Saban. He was a better coach than his detractors think and more average than his supporters think. He was the perfect coach for an AD who in general loves stability above all else. Most reading this will probably think it is a put down of Miles but it isn't. Just have always found their two paths at LSU and UT very very similar (down to the loyalty to Sanders and Cameron). Just hope that Miles this year realizes what an open date is for (resting players and healing up not physical practices) as that has been as much a problem with his late season slides as the quality of opponent.

You hope Miles realizes something that you know? Some where in the fog bank of your delusion you actually believe that you know more about football than Les Miles?

he was pretty much fired last year, but yet you think they would extend his contract? quote:
Yep, he was gone, and knew it. In fact, was told his job was on the line prior to end of season. A fricking extension ? Will everybody be happy with another 3 or 4 loss season ?

What? He is the most successful coach ever at a top 10 alltime program.
This notion that we have had one great season under Miles is just utter bullshite.
Les Miles has as many top 5 finishes in lsu history as Saban, Mac, and Dietzel COMBINED.
i also love how you said ,"ONLY 1 TITLE".
How many coaches in cfb have multiple titles?

What are some of you guys problem with Les Miles, he's a damn good coach and its hard to find someone on his level, everyone calling for his head (even though he still maintains a winning record) is gonna miss him when he is gone?

" this is a make or break season four CLM"
I wonder how many times since 08 that comment has been made on the rant?
Miles will be at LSU until 2019 unless he has a motorbike accident with a 25-year-old blonde who works under him in the football office.
Like miles or not, but he is one of the top 5 most successful coaches in college football as for as results are concerned for his 11 yrs at LSU.
