Hey. Alexis can play CF after all. He just needs ozil behind him.
Still drifted a bunch, at times ozil was basically the CF.

Where's the guy saying Xhaka was a shite mediocre signing?
I came here to ask the very same thing. Xhaka has been brilliant.
I never said he was a crap signing, I simply compared the signing to the ones Man U made. Xhaka was very good in the first half. I am really glad. But, let's slow down a shade, this was Watford. He did not look this good against Leicester.

Top four looks like a better possibility
Come on. Of course top 4 is probability, not a possibility.
We are going to be a very good team.

Goal, assist, penalty won. Drift all you want if that's the product.
Alexis was very good today. His runs into the channels were much better. His hold up play was good. His goal was textbook CF play: held the ball up, switched play, busted arse to the back post and found the back of the net.
If Ox had his drive he would be the English Alexis. Ox had multiple chances to get to the back post and score and didn't.
Great to see Theo in form.
Mustafi could be the missing link. He and Kosc will be great together.

I guess my point is ox is terrible. He will flash brilliance, than look like he doesn't belong out there. So I'm hoping Perez can play up top and Sanchez move back out left. Watching some of Perez highlights, he plays like Sanchez.
Walcott was very good though and put in a good defensive shift as well, led the team in ball recoveries
They are going to wreck teams with a Sanchez, Perez, Walcott trio.

Xhaka's long range passing is unfricking real. Better than Cesc in his prime.

The man seriously may revitalize Theo's career with some of these deep over the top balls.

So sick.
Also crazy how much ozil has filled out. In that third gif looks like giroud running in the box.

Theo has upped his energy tremendously. Goes missing far less frequently. Working hard on defense to press. Criticism appears to have been good for him.
I'm wondering what our fully healthy 1st 11 will end up being.
I'm thinking
Cech
Bellerin-Mustafi-Kosc-Monreal
Xhaka-Ramsey
Theo-Ozil-Alexis
Giroud/Welbeck
Ospina
Jenkinson-Per-Gabriel-Gibbs
Coquelin/Elneny-Wilshere
Ox-Santi-Iwobi
Lucas
Not included are Holding, Chambers, Debuchy, Jeff, Akpom.
Best depth we've had in a while.
Will have to see how Lucas adapts to see where he fits in the picture.

I want Lucas to start at ST. We have looked our best going forward with a mobile ST. Alexis is much more effective when Giroud isn't playing. Also we will be much more dangerous on counter with Lucas which will be useful in the away games against the bigger clubs.

Very interesting Lucas tidbit. Barcelona wanted to sign him to be their fourth striker and deputize for the other three. But he came to Arsenal because Wenger told him he would start.
Interesting both because of Barca interest and Wenger's promise.

Start in... League matches? Cup matches? Start consistently? Any more details here?

I heard the Barca part from some La Liga reporter on a podcast, but never heard the promise to start part.

Graham Hunter talked about it on a podcast.
Found the starting part on Twitter but apparently the source is questionable.

So much this.
Watched some highlights of Mustafi (can we call him Mufasa?) and I immediately thought he and Kos will pair extremely well.
I can't wait to see them two, Monreal, and Bellerin with Cech in goal.

Rumors of Wilshere being loaned out. Possibly Juventus.

Fear for our depth, but it seems like something he definitely needs
