Primary use will be hunting, and will use a SilencerCo Omega on it. Worth the dough? Other AR-10 recs encouraged.

Other than cost is there any reason you wouldn't buy it again?

It's around 3K i believe. For that price I would look at at GAP10 or Larue. Also possibly the JP's, although they go for a bit more. I would want more than a 16" barrel for a 7.62/.308. Only downside is that all these listed will have a lead time. I'm not sure about the availability of DD's. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a GAP10g2.

I'm ordering one next week. Will have an Omega on it as well.
Honestly, it's a bit overpriced and uses proprietary parts, and I don't like the ball bearing mechanism for the charging handle. For $2759 (MAP), you might as well save up a couple hundred more and get a GAP-10.
It's the nicest AR-10 I've personally played with, though.

Yea the GAP10 is only $2998 or something like that.

if the DD5 isn't for me, I will likely sell it and grab a GAP. I'll be getting the DD5 for around $1100 so it'll be hard not to like it

I have an AR-10 in .308. Considering selling the barrel for a 6.5 creedmoor.
I built it, FYI

If you can stomach the $$$ go for it

I purchased a Gen 1 Sig Sauer 716 DMR that so far I've been pleased with. I'll be mounting a Rugged Surge 762 on it here in the next few months.

Buy a GAP 10 and let everyone at the range be jealous. It doesn't cost too much more. I would buy one in 6.5 Creed

Eight month lead time on the GAP10. There is, however, a used one on Gunbroker out of Deridder for $3,500.
I've looked at lots of different models and other than the LMT this is the nicest one I've handled.

You see anything about that M1A scope mount?

Isn't the buffer tube proprietary where you can't change out the stock? I know some guys wanted to add a Magpul PWS but can't. Also the barrel is proprietary as well as I understand so you can't switch it out. A couple of reasons I went with the LaRue PredatOBR.
