hey everyone

After watching last nights game and looking up Messi's info, i noticed that he plays for Barcelona.

im just now getting into soccer and will be watching the EPL next season, so my question is- How is La Liga compared to the EPL in terms of talent top to bottom? i guess i just figured the best league in the world was the EPL.

i know in the end $$ rules all.

Also, i know the MLS is a big step down from the two mentioned above, but im curious how the best team in the MLS would do if they were in the EPL?

TIA

La Liga is the best league in the world. It's very, very top heavy though with all the money going to Real Madrid and Barcelona. Atletico is firmly up there now, though.

Premier League is the richest league top to bottom but the quality of play has been mostly a shite sandwich for a couple of years.

Bundesliga is a strong league with a lot of really good young talent, but mostly dominated by Bayern Munich the last 4 years.

They're usually ranked like this:

1) MLS
2) The League
3) FLC
4) International Football
5) Premier League.

The technical level in La Liga is on another level compared to the EPL.

Get Bein... lots of soccer from La Liga, Serie A, Lique 1 and Championship(English 2nd tier)

For my money they have the best soccer coverage on the Express Extra.

I think every team in MLS would get relegated in the EPL. Some of the Galaxy squads a few years back would stay up but that's it.

I think the MLS is a hard league to peg because it's got a lot of parity. I'd say it's about on par with Turkey or Belgium or Greece but the best team there would
Easily win the MLS league.

I think most people consider the EPL a better league because of the talent and names in the league. However the Spanish teams do better in European competition.

They'd have a shot to survive assuming they had all summer to buy players, but most teams would need to bring in at least 9 new players to start each week.

Yeah. It would not be great. The biggest problem is that no MLS team has the depth to compete in any of the top leagues. The reserves for an MLS team are a fall off a cliff from the starting XI.
