If you never filed your state you probably owe less than the $3150 because they base it off your federal report and don't include your state deductions.

There was a year the state owed me less than a $100 and I forgot to file them. A couple of years later I get a notice in the mail that I owe $3000+ in taxes and can't get my fishing license renewed until they receive payment.

Pulled up my taxes saved on the computer. Mailed them off and received a $67 dollar check six weeks later.
