The boundaries of Newton County (where the defendant is from) are perfectly square, the only county in the Land Mass to have this form.
That's all I've got, I've been there once to visit ECCC for three too-many hours.
The local Ward's was the high point of the visit.

I mean the Affluenza kid is bar none the best defense of all time.

that was not his defense, it was a comment made by a psychologist during sentencing, who later said he regretted using the term

I know a guy that got a DUI, but beat a possession charge by shitting on himself. Neither of the cops wanted to touch him and he was able to toss it before being booked.

This pretty well gives the reason for the decision.

Had a friend get out of a field sobriety test because "he did legs that day and they were sore from all of the built up lactic acid"

Cleavage
Cleavage

And "I'm so sorry Mr. Officer. I'm trying to get home before curfew."
Yeah, that shite worked.
Eta: I haven't read the thread. If you caught a charge, you're either a pussy or you don't have tits

Nah, I'd rather go to jail and just pay it because I'm not poor than be trashy AF.

You don't ever have to do a field sobriety test, so that's a lie

get an empty pint bottle of your favorite liquor. the guy i knew used an old forester bottle. fill it tea and keep it under your car seat. when the blue lights flash, pull over, turn off your car. step out of the car throwing keys on ground and chug the entire pint of tea, smash the bottle on the ground. Cant prove point of intoxication.

I'm sorry officer. I, uh, didn't know that I couldn't do that.

Idk if I'd gotten away with it without this as I wasn't hammered, but I'd definitely been drinking a lot.
When the cop flipped the lights on there were three of us in the car who'd been going out, and I was driving. I told them all to be as belligerent as they'd ever been and I was going to pretend I'd just come to pick them up.
When he pulled up they were acting like something out of a movie. As the cop was trying to talk to me they were asking if he could take their Taco Bell order and nonsense like that. I was apologizing and saying they called me to come pick them up. They kept going on and on and asking him if they could have extra medium sauce and arguing about which was hotter, medium or mild.
After about a minute of this he told me to get out of there and take them home. I broke out into uncontrollable shaking once he left my window.

I bet the patrol officer got a promotion and the judge got some hush money under the table after this one.
He must be a bush-league state senator, because normally one with a little clout in Mississippi would've had the responding trooper fired or at least assigned to the Driver's License office for a few months and the judge would've brought said senator out for lunch after the hearing.

Don't know how someone hasn't brought up the guy in Georgia who beat his DWI by arguing he was too drunk to consent to a breathalyzer.
