While this may be true, the percentage of NBA players making 30+ million a year will be WAY higher than the percentage of MLB players.

As we've seen, it's not uncommon for players in the NBA to secure a max contract from a desperate team after showing one or two years of solid improvement.

Also, most teams seem to have at least one guy that is either at the max, or expected to get the max on his next deal.

Players like Westbrook, KD, Harden, AD, Steph, Draymond, Kawhi, etc. etc. etc. will all command this 30+ million/year deal when their time comes.

Sure maybe some baseball players will get there too, but it will be a much smaller percentage of the MLB.

shite, while Harrison Barnes may have lost a ton of money in this series, he is expected to get at or around a max deal this summer. Of course it's not the 10 year vet max, but to think a player like Harrison Barnes can secure a max deal just shows you how easy it is to get one of those versus getting a top deal in other sports.
