How? How exactly what would "North Tiger" do? How would you remove a natural predator from it's habitat. You could drain the lagoons and kill everything in it and still there would be gators. There is a reason they were here before the dinosaurs and they are still here now. As a species they are survivors.
There is little you could do, short of salinating the water and killing off all the surrounding vegetation. Of course then you may get crocodiles, so that's moot
