Gun Club Lake Charles?

What is a good place in Lake Charles to shoot skeet and hand guns? Looking for a place to get some off season practice in and take the wife to shoot her hand gun.
Lake Charles Gun Club comes up on google, but is only open M-F from 8 - 3:30. What the frick is up with that? Most people in this world are working during those hours.
Also heard of one in Bell City, but a current member has to sponsor you to join. I just moved here in January so I doubt that's happening.

Those hours are for non members who want to pay each time they go. If you join then you get a key and can go when you want. At least that is my understanding

Weiser tiger is correct. You get a combination to the gate. You can go anytime, except I don't think you can shoot after dark.

I am a member and go frequently. You will need a code after hours. They have a 5 stand for clays and two towers for skeet. Dont know if the trap is up and running. Last time i was there The Captain said he was fixing the lights so that members could shoot at night. A year membership is like $100 i think. There is also a pistol range and a rifle range. They also have sporting clay 100 rounds on Tuesdays and Thursdays if im not mistaken. Minimum team of 3 people.

I called the guy and he said $150 for a year membership and $7/box of shells you shoot. Is this pretty standard for membership clubs? I've never been a member of one, just would go to Hunter's Run in PA when I wanted to shoot when I lived in BR.
