Unload it in Alabama and lock the magazine in the trunk.
They can't be easily accessible to the driver.

Aren't Mississippi gun laws in regards to the vehicle very similar to Louisiana's?

Not supposed to, unless you have a CCW and even then I'm not sure.
I know for sure you can't have a loaded firearm in the passenger compartment.

Call each ms AL and FL state police and ask them. Also, if carrying with a concealed permit, make sure you understand their laws in regards to reciprocity.
Carrying on a commission is always easier than worrying about individual states laws...

Check Alabama. There were some new laws just passed/changed concerning carrying and vehicles.
I'm permitted so I don't have an issue carrying loaded.
Alabama has reciprocity agreements in place so look into that as well.

Nothing's gonna happen man. Just put the gun in your car and forget about it. I been on countless vacations with my dad to Florida. He had his 38 in the car for each one.

if you have a ccp you do not have to lock mag away when in bama. Not sure about fla laws.
But honestly, i have traveled in alabama and florida for yrs with my handgun in my vehicle when i didnt have a ccp. Its not like they are going to be checking your vehicle unless you are going doing shady shite
