This is terrible. I am assuming that they didn't know how to swim, which is something I will never understand.

I worked with dudes on the river, who rode on boats, who couldn't swim.

It boggles the mind.

I can't fathom it.

Could have gotten a concussion from the fall.

Doesn't matter whether you can swim or not. If you fall into a water tank that is being aerated, you will hit the bottom hard enough to break your legs.
