Waiting for LSU's band to play then trying to play over them right after they start playing.

like we sit there and wait for them to start playing. We play immediately after the play is dead, and like TGBFTL we have specific cheers for a certain play, especially on defense. If we actually waited until the other band started playing we run the risk of still playing during the next football play, which is a penalty.

Then staying in the stands and playing for far longer than any other band in the SEC after the game.

It's so we don't get caught in the cross flow when everyone is leaving the stadium. Now THAT'S actually a safety precaution. LSU does the same thing when they come to BDS. We just take longer because we have more people. We do this at home too.

During the 2012 and 2014 games one of the less important useless drum majors would sit at the ready and watch LSU's band. Then when LSU got up to play he'd get the attention of the important drum major and Alabama would cue it up and play over LSU's band. There was an editorial in the advocate about it. I'd expect you to defend your million dollar trash band.
