Some of the English play by play and color guys aren't "good" so to speak but I still find many entertaining. . .
getting comments like "it left his foot like an osprey flying from the bush" goes a long way.
As for Americans, I like JP Dellacamera fine.
For Twellman, I don't care if he gets on a soapbox about an issue nor do I think his insight is poor and I never care of I agree or disagree with color guys.
However, I do find his general conversational skills to be quite grating in that he constantly borders on seeming outright rude in both bitchy tone and constant little passive aggressive phrases.

I miss the days of Martin Tyler and Andy Gray calling epl matches together.

They can really get into it. An English play by play guy will be calling the match with a typical dry, direct, and level English cadence then suddenly SHOUT THE PLAYER'S NAME whenever a shot is made. Some also make random, strange observations.

I literally find it hard to enjoy a match sometimes because I can't stop hating him so much. Seriously. I'm baffled at the amount of guys on here that say they like him. The tone and flow of his voice is all wrong for soccer commentary. There's never any chemistry wIth Taylor in the booth. He commentates like he's the only person in there. Sarcasm and subtlety from whomever he's partnering with never really hits because I don't think he listens. Just waiting for his turn to talk really loudly. His response to whatever his partner just said is always something completely random. All of it is just so bad. His way of speaking is so strange to me. I can't pin it down. He's like a 23 year old chick from LA or something. The guy really stresses me out, clearly
