Can't sleep so I spent the past hour ranking every song from his three albums, plus Sugar Daddy.
I know my opinion isn't important, just curious what other Sturg fans think I have way too high or way too low.
1. Just Let Go
2. Sea Stories
3. Living the Dream
4. Hero
5. Brace For Impact
6. Call to Arms
7. Long White Line
8. Keep It Between the Lines
9. Oh Sarah
10. Some Days
11. Sitting Here Without You
12. Old King Coal
13. Turtles All the Way Down
14. All Around You
15. Time After All
16. Welcome to Earth
17. Life Ain't Fair and the World is Mean
18. Water In a Well
19. You Can Have the Crown
20. The Storm
21. Ain't All Flowers
22. Panbowl
23. In Bloom
24. Voices
25. The Promise
26. Life of Sin
27. Breakers Roar
28. I'd Have to be Crazy
29. Railroad of Sin
30. A Little Light
31. Poor Rambler
32. Sugar Daddy

Yeah, most have Turtles in their top 5 I imagine. Great song, I just love the others in front of it more.

No ranking for Hey Now and Four Flame Candle from Bastard Children?

A country singer that doesn't wear bedazzled jeans.

Glad you made this. Just got into Sturgill and really enjoy his stuff. From first impressions, I really like The Promise, in Bloom, Aint All Flowers, and Brace for Impact. Haven't heard a song yet that I fully disliked.
I'd say Aint All Flowers is way too low, but it's definitely a weird one, so I see why some would have it low.

Yes I did rank it low but in my opinion 1-25 are all amazing. And the rest aren't bad at all. But if you're gonna rank them, some have to be on the bottom.
"Grab a glass of wine and a seat to dine and go ahead and eat the whole damn pie!!" Love that line in Flowers.

Funnily enough, I haven't listened to High Top Mountain quite enough to rank those songs, but I feel like I can rank Metamodern and Sailors. I'll work on it and report back.
Too low IMO.
The transition from Sea Stories to In Bloom is $$$.

I've yet to listen to his debut. It's on my to do list, however, Life of Sin is one of my favorite songs.

I really don't think I can rank them. Some days I like some more than others. He's got a damn fine catalog working right now.

Ain't All Flowers is ridiculously good.
You have Breakers Roar way too low as well IMO, and Life of Sin
No issue at all with your #1 choice. I love that song. He doesn't have any bad songs at all, though.

My favorites of his are on that Sunday Valley album. Tis fantastic.

The only way to make this list is rank the songs by album. All 3 albums are so different it doesn't do them justice to group them together.

I wish he would have (or at some point) made a studio version for "Listening to the Rain". He used to close off his concerts a bunch with this before this tour.

Breakers roar is my favorite on his new album
Posted on 6/13/16 at 5:19 pm to Cailloue Pitre
I want a live album so bad

The YouTube vid of him doing Listening to the Rain at ACL that has a lot of hits is unreal good. Love that he was out there in New Balances.
And yes, a live album from this tour would be amazing. I can't wait for 9/11 to get here. (Said no American ever until just now)

Breakers Roar is my least favorite. But you must be right because I heard Sturg say on a podcast that Breakers Roar was his favorite as well.
