50 dollar igloo or coleman 2-3 times a year is costly

what are you doing to your ice chests to go through them like this I do just about every activity imaginable with ice chests and have had the same ones for many years

I'm very rough on my icechests

2 biggest issues is the igloos and colemans catching wind, flying out the truck or boat on the highway and crumbling on contact with the road. Then, in my boat it receives heavy foot traffic because it is pretty much an extension of my front deck. So it's constantly getting stepped on, jumped on and whatnot. Igloos and especially colemans just don't hold up to that. Then you factor in all the hardware replacement and I could have bought multiple Yeti's for what it cost me to run with the others.

ETA:

There isn't a cooler made that won't have it's ice rapidly melt if you are using it just to keep beer cold and have it opened and closed over and over filling it with hot air.

I'm rough on my Coleman but I've had it for three years now. I like being able to keep it in my truck bed and not have to worry about someone stealing a $450 ice chest.

Fish.
I have a grave yard of Igloo's.
Handles rip right out on an Igloo if full of fish. And if you dare stand on one, ba-by.
If you are tailgating or just putting drinks in an ice chest, use whatever you want.
