Is Poche a lock to leave?
Posted on 6/8/16 at 8:25 pm to TailgatingTiger26
You didn't include Poche and Fraley, I assume you all believe they are lock to leave early?

Robertson is much higher than 40%. His rise has been incredible and I don't know that it can get any higher. He'll lose a good bit of leverage if he returns.

I think Poche and Fraley are the only ones we lose.
Robertson is a really good college player, and I think he has leadership qualities that will lend itself well to next years team, which is something i think he will look forward too. Let him improve his defense, which will have to be his calling card at the next level.
People say he and Deichmann hate Maineri and wont be back, though.
Where do you think Newman and Reynolds are going? these are run of the mill relievers at the next level, at this point. I cant see them going anywhere

quote:I wonder if Mainieri can move Deichman to 3rd SS, or maybe even OF next year and have Romero lock down 1st with Paps catching and Bryce DH?
Jordan Romero-60% fighting with pap and Bryce for AB's as it is, won't change next year. Want back though.

I think Mainieri has always said that if a guy gets drafted in the top 10 (May have been 6-7) rounds he expects them to leave.

Poche, Fraley, and Newman will all sign.
Robertson if taken in the top 10 rounds will say a lot about his willingness to sign.
Deichmann should return and would greatly benefit from a third year in college (only 2 full seasons).
Reynolds, Stallings, and Bugg will all generate interest in the later rounds.

I noticed that we only signed one LHP in this class.
Since Valek and Devall are graduating and Poche (if he stays) and Latz will likely be starters, we will only have one left handed arm in the bullpen (if the incoming freshman works out). Am I missing someone?
