Some of you old timers will remember Childs and the great Saints offenses he played on back in the mid to late 70's.

Rest now, Henry. Other Saints await. Thanks for the memories that my dad and I had discussing your play. You and my dad are missed.

This is horrible. I remember one time I took my grandkids to Mardi Gras uptown right after Childs' rookie year. Henry was at the parade. We got a Polaroid and an autograph, which I still have. RIP

Such a shame.... I remember him well back in the day... Henry was an awesome player and will always be respected as a New Orleans Saints GREAT.... He left this world way too soon but I'm sure he is in great hands of GOD, Who needed a dependable tight end on his team in Heaven... HENRY, RIP... Gone but never forgotten!!!!!.....

I know a lot of people are partial to Hoby Brenner because he played so long and was on the anniversary team, but I really believe that Henry Childs was the 2nd best TE in Saints history.
