Reminds me of the nonsense people used to spew about Bonds before the 2002 postseason. I can't believe people rely on a sample size of less than 100 innings over 1500 innings of historically great work.

Fans always overrate the importance of the post season, especially in team sports.

Because post season is what matters. And when a pitcher has an ERA of almost double what his regular season ERA is, thats an issue. He did perform better last post season so maybe he has turned a corner. Unfortunately, he plays under a management team that is clueless as to how to make the team better. Their inability to find good relief pitching for going on 3 years now cost Kershaw yet another win tonight....and a bone head manager not bringing in his really good closer for a 4 out save. If I am Kershaw, I am looking to go to a team with a real GM next year.....maybe the Rangers.
