The Iceman, Doctor K (Larry Kenon), Captain Late (James Silas), Billy Paultz, Mark Olberding, Koby Deitrich... those were some fun teams to watch.

By the time I was watching Ice, he was well past his prime.

Fantastic scorer. Could shoot the ball from range and drive to the basket finishing with a tear drop shot called the finger roll. Ball would roll off his fingers over the out stretched hands of defenders. Graceful and smooth. No defense at all.

The closest he ever came to a title was 1979. Spurs blew a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. They were in the East back then.

Incredible basketball player and coke sniffer. The iceman was a phenom

He was the ultimate scorer they ran everything through him.
When he got going it allowed Artis to be a beast in middle. They were better than Reid and Moses as a combo, but that was all they had. The Spurs weren't great but had two stars that could score.

He was RH. On his jump shot his left elbow was straight out - just odd looking shot.
As others have said, Iceman was a great scorer.

Any good Youtube videos of Iceman?
He was retired before I was born.
Thanks for making me feel old, a-hole...

What makes me feel old is remembering going to the SWCT in the Summit, Hemisfair, Reunion, and when they called the Erwin Special Events Center the Super Drum.
What's also bad I remember the Kings playing in Kemper Arena and Tennessee having a grey tartan court at Thompson-Bolling.
