Furniss had his retired in 2016. Furniss > Walker

They're retroactively retiring it. All players who wore 12 from 2001 to now have been removed from the record books.

I was around 10 when Todd was playing at LSU. He was my hero. Got a foul ball at a game and got him to sign the ball. I still have it.

Walker>Furniss. Not even close. Todd Walker was the best hitter LSU has ever had.

I started following baseball in '94 because of him. He's my fav of all time.

I used to like Adrian Antonini because that's just a badass fricking name. I started as a kid in the early 90's as well with lsu ball. Used to hang out on the tracks behind left field line waiting for foul balls. Used to get one or two a game with my cuz.

I was 7. First year of YMCA ball. All the talk was about him and LSU's championship in '93. It's when I first really paid attention. My dad wasn't a "sports" guy. But he took me to my first game that year. I couldnt tell you who we played or any detail at all. But I was hooked. Lots of Skip camps after that.

And no where near being close. Unbelievably clutch. The Grand Slam vs Aggie in Omaha still gives me goose bumps.

Almost exact same time frame as myself. I don't remember much about the 91 team except maybe Lyle mouton. 93 team definitely kicked it into gear for me. Then 96-97 was when it felt like skip was cementing his legendary status.

Overdue, hopefully Warren Morris is next.
