RPI
Ole Miss 5 > LSU 6 > Vanderbilt 7 > South Carolina 8

Strength of Schedule
LSU 7 > Ole Miss 9 > Vanderbilt 15 > South Carolina 17

Wins against Top 25
Ole Miss 10, LSU 10 > South Carolina 8 > Vanderbilt 7

Wins against Top 50
Ole Miss 13, LSU 13 > Vanderbilt 10 > South Carolina 9

Wins against Top 100
Ole Miss 24 > LSU 21 > Vanderbilt 18 > South Carolina 16

Series won against Top 16 Teams
Ole Miss 2 (Louisville, LSU), LSU 2 (Vanderbilt, Florida) > Vanderbilt 1 (South Carolina), South Carolina 1 (Ole Miss)

Seems like it's no longer South Carolina's and it'll come down to who lasts longer in the tournament of LSU and Ole Miss. And seeing as to how each of those are in the driver's seat, that final SEC National Seed could come down to who wins the tourney.

Realistically, if both teams make the championship game they both should get a national seed and the SEC should just get 5.

sec won't get 5.

acc will get 3, and texas tech will get one. sec gets 4.

either lsu or ole miss will be a national seed. not both.

You forgot SEC reg season wins. It's just as important as many of those.

Except they won the East, which is a big bullet point in their resume.

I don't know. I feel like that's captured in the top 25, top 50, top 100, etc wins. And RPI and SOS.

At #18 it looks like Virginia is out of contention.

#9 Clemson most likely ACC #3.

Agree. And poor South Carolina finishes second in SEC and won't get one. And ole miss 7th and gets one. What a year in fhe SEC

Not sure on this one either. Yeah, they won the East and then put their two Aces against two teams from the West and go 0-2 this week.

If you total all SEC wins (including the tournament), LSU & Ole Miss have more SEC wins than South Carolina now so I don't feel like that's in their favor any longer.

I don't get why he's brushing off what many think is the most important part of the resume.

I think if either LSU or Ole miss win this thing south Carolina can kiss that seed goodbye. If neither of them win it it will be close

I feel like overall resume is more important than winning an arbitrary division within a conference.

For the record, D1Baseball just made an update to their projections after today's games and they have knocked both SC and Virginia from national seeds.

Who did they replace them with?

Both Ole Miss and LSU.

How is winning a division any more arbitrary than obscure computer calculations?

I'm not a fan of how it seems that 90% of D1Baseball.com is subscriber only now. The stock reports should all be public.

For most conferences... but not the SEC.

D1 is in "subscription" season. They'll write anything that's click bait and throw a price on it. Journalism 101 in 2016.
