We are in Virginia, what do you expect? People here just do not care for college sports.

No they have a new baseball and softball stadium. Their box scores showed crowds of 1500+ for the 2015 regionals.
I'll check their box scores from this year

if you're in the DC/mid-Maryland area, JMU is pretty easy to get to...I-81 goes right through the university somewhere around the 240-250 mile marker...
there is a stadium seating diagram, but can't guess seating capacity from that...

They drew 1756 on Friday night. Called Veterans Memorial Stadium on the northwest side of campus.
But their box score last night said "55 degrees, overcast, not so nice." Thought that was funny.

I watched them on TV this year. Their stadium holds considerably more than 500.

They showed a clip of their stadium on ESPN when they showed a brief showing for the JMU vs. Longwood game. Looks like they have bleachers in the outfield and a berm filled with people. The grandstand area looked like a decent sized one. If you're trying to get tickets, you may wanna get there early, looks like they have a nice little home support.

I watched them play Towson a couple of weeks ago and there were more than 500 in attendance.
Today's attendance vs Longwood was 1,691.

I'm pretty sure lacrosse has some popularity up there.

It is up there with football, which is not saying much. Soccer as well, especially on the high school level.
